August 31, Positive Affirmation for Peace

Friday, August 31st, 2007

Today is an opportunity for peace.

Greetings! Our theme is Peace at DailyAffirm, http://www.DailyAffirm.com. These last days of the month we work with integrating and embodying peace. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
Every single moment is an opportunity for peace, as is each act, each word, each thought, each feeling. To be truly peaceful, you do not manipulate your environment. Your environment is a playground or playing field for learning and growing and experiencing. Peace comes from the inside. If you look to the outside for peace, you have too many possibilities that scatter your attention. The search for Oneness is complete by turning deep within. Peace is not an external process, even though external manifestations are part of the process. It is incumbent upon you as an individual to choose to be peaceful, regardless of what is happening outside and around you.

About Your Process
Today is the perfect day to reflect on all the realizations about peace that you have had this month. So, ask yourself what you have learned about peace, what you have learned about yourself, what you have learned about the world. Please re-visit your over-arching intention that you set at the beginning of the month. Perhaps you now have a greater realization of the words you used in your initial intention. Or, you may find that you desire to change some of those words so that they are more congruent with the person you are today.

About Targets for Love and Peace
Thanks for your participation in the Targets for Love and Peace Project during the month of August. It has been delightful to work with all of you who have actively participated. I know that some of you worked very hard to write or re-write targets that followed the guidelines, but in the doing have found the experience richly rewarding.

Target: Abundance and Abundance Consciousness
Intention: We hold a vision of enLIGHTenment flowing into the consciousness of everyone on the planet, creating the REALization that there is more than enough for all, and manifesting the TRUTH of abundance.

About the Next Type of Affirmations and New Theme
This is the last of the Integrating/Embodying Affirmations, and the final affirmations for Peace. Tomorrow begins a new month and a new theme. For some of you, this may well be the most important theme of the year: Abundance. I find that when I say “abundance” others often hear or think “money” and even more specifically, they feel the lack of money. I do not equate money and abundance. And, trust me, if you stop equating the two you will experience more of both!!!!! Please stay with the DailyAffirm Process. If the first week is challenging, persevere. This is not a time to give up anything but resistance.

Make this a peaceful day!

August 30, Positive Affirmation for Peace

Thursday, August 30th, 2007

Peace is a personal choice.

Greetings! Our theme is Peace at DailyAffirm, http://www.DailyAffirm.com. These last days of the month we work with integrating and embodying peace. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
Today’s affirmation is the motto of the Targets for Love and Peace Project which so many of you have been supporting this month with your Targets. It is up to each individual to make a choice to live in peace. Others can choose non-peace while you choose peace. The whole world has the capacity to allow for a myriad of choices. Make your personal choice for your personal world.

About Your Process
This is the perfect day to identify one part of your life in which to make a choice for peace. It may be that you make peace with piles of papers or undone projects. Or perhaps today is the day to make peace with a sibling or other family member. Or if a disagreement has been brewing in the neighborhood, that may draw your attention for your choice for peace. Choose peace to create a onederful world, your world.

Target: My Neighbors
Intention: We bathe people who are too heavy or hard on themselves in Love and Peace so that they realize that getting “the light” may not just mean “illumination with the warm, red light of God” but also “lightening up” in relationships and on themselves.

Make this a onederful day!

August 29, Positive Affirmation for Peace

Wednesday, August 29th, 2007

I breathe in peace, I breathe out peace.

Greetings! Our theme is Peace at DailyAffirm, http://www.DailyAffirm.com. These last days of the month we work with integrating and embodying peace. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
The DailyAffirm process now shifts to helping you to integrate and embody your thoughts and feelings about the exploration of peace during this month. Today’s affirmation allows your breath to assist with the integration. When you begin to clear (as, for example, at the beginning of the month on DailyAffirm or the beginning of a new awakening), I am likely to say “Breathe in peace, breathe out non-peace” or other such words and ideas. I find it helpful to use the in-breath to receive light or anything else that you desire while you use the out-breath to let go of darkness or anything that you wish to release. In today’s affirmation, letting go becomes as simple and matter of fact as breathing in and breathing out.

About Your Process
Today’s affirmation is an ideal one to chant. That is, to say the affirmation either aloud or silently over and over again, rhythmically. You may even find yourself singing the words so that you create a song. You can let your breath create the tempo. You can also use this affirmation to slow you down: if you are agitated, start by saying the affirmation quickly and then gradually slow down until you have calmed and relaxed yourself. Feel the peace.

About a Quotation
“Better than a thousand useless words is one single word that gives peace. Better than a thousand useless verses is one single verse that gives peace. Better than a hundred useless poems is one single poem that gives peace.” -The Dhammapada (c. B.C. 300)

About Targets for Love and Peace
I invite you to submit one or more Targets for Love and Peace by adding a comment to any DailyAffirm message in August. Please include the target (stated succinctly) and a high intention. Here is another that was submitted by a Dailyaffirm subscriber.

Target: Adult Children
Intention: We lovingly accept the adult children of the world who still feel like a hurting child within. We know that within us is a child who is ready to grow up and live fully in this life. We surround all children with our love.

August 28, Positive Affirmation for Peace

Tuesday, August 28th, 2007

I act with purposeful awareness of peace in every moment.

Greetings! Our theme is Peace at DailyAffirm, http://www.DailyAffirm.com. This fourth week of the month we work with acting and claiming peace. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
Much of humanity is opening to a new conscious awareness. Humans are already conscious beings, becoming more conscious of consciousness. When you are aware of your own process and its purpose, you are intentionally conscious of being conscious. When you first become aware of something, you might experience pain or exhilaration or fear or curiosity. Awakening is a personal experience, as personal and varied as the awakening from nighttime sleep that you experience every day. Some grumble, some yawn, some leap from their beds, some sing to the sun, some reach for their glasses on the bed stand, some roll over to return to sleep. So, too, awakening from unconsciousness to consciousness and then awakening to purposeful awareness are individual processes. Today, awaken to the awareness of peace.

About Your Process
Do you consider yourself to be aware? Your answer is probably “yes” and perhaps even a resounding “yes!” To which my next question is: Of what? It may be very easy for you to say that you are conscious, that you are aware. To claim purposeful awareness is a step beyond being conscious. And yet another step is to be purposefully aware in every moment. Knowing that additional consciousness is available can be a source of great comfort. Are you acting with the enlightenment of peace?

About Other Articles
Often I mention articles posted at my Web Site that are related to the daily affirmations. Today I want to list titles that I do not mention regularly. We invite you to read articles in our Articles Section.

About the Next Type of Affirmations
This is the last of the Acting/Claiming Affirmations this month. Tomorrow the Integrating/Embodying peace affirmations begin. Today is a good day to check for a final action you might want to take to demonstrate peace. Of course, each day forward you might want to claim and demonstrate peace. A re-visit of your over-arching intention for peace also allows you to integrate more fully all that you have learned this month.

Make this an awakening day!

August 27, Positive Affirmation for Peace

Monday, August 27th, 2007

I let every act be an act of peace.
My peaceful consciousness makes a difference to my world.

Greetings! Our theme is Peace at DailyAffirm, http://www.DailyAffirm.com. This fourth week of the month we work with acting and claiming peace. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
This affirmation reminds you that peace can be invited into every action you take. Peace is not passive. Peace, of course, can be gentle, even silent, yet peace is also action-oriented. Ordinary daily activities such as brushing your teeth and talking on the telephone and eating your breakfast can be experienced with a whole new perspective by associating them with a peaceful consciousness. So, too, extraordinary acts can be peaceful. It is the consciousness of peace that manifests the acts that you call peaceful.

About Your Process
What, to you, is a “peaceful consciousness”? What, to you, is a “peaceful act”? You may find you have very broad definitions or narrow and exacting ones. Regardless of your personal definition, though, your consciousness and your actions do make a positive difference in your world when they are peaceful. Identify some action you will take today (call it a “target” if you wish) and bathe it with the consciousness of peace. Remember, also, that it is acceptable to act in a non-peaceful way and then find a peaceful resolution.

August 26, Positive Affirmation for Peace

Sunday, August 26th, 2007

I draw a circle of peace.
I give my peaceful energy to places on the planet calling for harmony.

Greetings! Our theme is Peace at DailyAffirm, http://www.DailyAffirm.com. This fourth week of the month we work with acting and claiming peace. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
This affirmation embodies the idea of Targets for Love and Peace that many of you have been working with throughout this month. Any place that is in disharmony is calling for harmony; any part in pain is calling for relief; any person who is living in ignorance is calling for enlightenment. Newspapers and news broadcasts help you to identify which people, places, things, and ideas are calling for love and light and peace. Your own personal experiences also give you clues for targets. Draw a circle around each target and all targets, and then fill the circles with peaceful energy. When you identify your targets, you clear yourself of anger, resentment, judgment, remorse, disdain, or pity. The targets probably already have plenty of these energies! Instead, give them your attention with Peace; give them your attention with Love.

About Your Process
Around what do you draw a circle today? Perhaps you create a circle around yourself or a part of your physical body or your community or the whole world. You have permission to be selfish or selfless, whatever feels appropriate for you right now. Envisioning peace in a circle any place on the planet enhances your own awareness of peace. And remember, you need not limit yourself to only one circle; circles of peace are unlimited. With your intention high, you make a positive difference.

August 25, Positive Affirmation for Peace

Saturday, August 25th, 2007

I manifest all things in association with peace.
Peace is my partner.

Greetings! Our theme is Peace at DailyAffirm, http://www.DailyAffirm.com. This fourth week of the month we work with acting and claiming peace. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
Ah, such a partner, Peace. All that you have manifested on the physical plane has been a process of co-creation. Sometimes you co-create what you like or prefer and sometimes you co-create what you do not like or prefer. Your own creations depend on where you put your attention. Today, let peace provide the energy to co-create those things that you desire. You do not need to ask peace to be with you in partnership, just give peace your attention and you are in partnership. The consciousness of peace propels your actions. Peace is with you. I encourage you to find a way to accept that others choose to partner with non-peace or another interpretation of peace.

About Your Process
So, what is it you desire to manifest today? A report? A shift in a relationship? New clients or customers? Innovative products? A clean house? Your manifestation may be big or small, mundane or profound, simple or complex, quiet or noisy. The proof of manifestation is not so much the focus of today’s affirmation as the process of manifesting with peace.

August 24, Positive Affirmation for Peace

Friday, August 24th, 2007

I claim my peace, my power. Peace is my power.

Greetings! Our theme is Peace at DailyAffirm, http://www.DailyAffirm.com. This fourth week of the month we work with acting and claiming peace. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
The word “power” has a negative punch for many folks. In hockey and business, a common expression is “power play.” Terms like “political power” or “power politics” are usually said with disdain or envy. The “power of money” usually means that those who have money make the decisions or have influence over those who do not have money. Considering “peace as power” creates a different picture. To claim peace, you must be peaceful. You must be what you seek, walk your talk, embody what you desire. Peace is powerful; conflict can also be powerful. You may find that this is the perfect time to let go of the fascination with war and distortions as you move to claim peace in your own life.

About Your Process
What images/feelings/thoughts come to you as you read today’s affirmation or as you see the word “power”? The more you can come to peace with the idea of power, the more you can step into your own power. True power comes from inside you, not from a title or office or game or status symbol. The power of peace is unlimited. What is the power of peace for you? How does the power of peace manifest in your life?

About Targets for Peace and Love
I invite you to submit one or more Targets for Peace and Love. Please include the target (stated succinctly) and a high intention. Review the Targets at the Marshall House Web Site, and then submit a target by clicking on the link below that says “Make a Comment.”

Target: Children of the world
Intention: We lovingly embrace the children of the world so that they know peace in their lifetime, a world at peace with itself, a world at peace, filled with light, love and laughter.

August 23, Positive Affirmation for Peace

Thursday, August 23rd, 2007

I act with peace in my heart.
I speak with peace on my lips. I walk with peace in my feet.

Greetings! Our theme is Peace at DailyAffirm, http://www.DailyAffirm.com. This fourth week of the month we work with acting and claiming peace. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
This affirmation invites the Spirit of peace to touch you in all parts of your being. Emotionally, let peace touch you so that you act in heart-felt ways. Let your mental body be filled with peace so that the words you draw from your thoughts are inundated with the energy of peace. Let your physical body be showered with the consciousness of peace, right down to the bottoms of your feet, so that every step you take is a step with peace, for peace, in peace, as peace. Be filled to overflowing with peace.

About Your Process
As you reflect on this affirmation, you may find that one particular aspect of your being is more in need of the light of peace. It is sometimes helpful to focus on one aspect at a time: physical, emotional, mental, or spiritual. Of course, you are all one (not four isolated parts), but sometimes it is helpful to look at the parts to understand and appreciate the whole more completely. You may find that you resonate with only one of the three statements and choose to work with that one. Or you may find that you repeat one statement more frequently than the other two. Play with the affirmation; make it work for you.

About Targets for Love and Peace
Target: Gastao F.
Intention: We surround Gastao F. in light and peace of mind, knowing that all is well, regardless of appearances. We honor the mysteries of life and death. We give thanks to the Divine for this life and all life.

August 22, Positive Affirmation for Peace

Wednesday, August 22nd, 2007

Peace energizes my actions. I move on my path in peace.

Greetings! Our theme is Peace at DailyAffirm, http://www.DailyAffirm.com. This fourth week of the month we work with acting and claiming peace. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
Today, DailyAffirm shifts into the action-oriented affirmations to encourage you to affirm that your actions are propelled by the energy of peace. It is very popular these days to use the word “path” when talking about a spiritual journey in this life. While the word may be commonly used, you perhaps have different perceptions of your path than others have of their path. Sometimes it is helpful to envision what the path looks or feels like before you gas up your vehicle.

About Your Process
When you see or imagine your “path” what do you see or imagine? Is your path straight and fixed, such as train tracks? Or is your path winding, such as a path in the woods that meanders around trees and streams? Or is your path rocky, such as a gravelly driveway? Or is your path one which goes straight up to heaven on a ladder? Or is your path cloudy in one moment, clear the next; swampy in one moment, solid in the next; boring in one moment, colorful in the next? What is your path? Are you moving on it in peace or mostly peace or with peace in your heart?

  • “Moving Through Puddles” describes the “Puddle Theory of Personal Development” which helps those seeking enlightenment to move more easily through the cycles and changes of life.
