November 30, Positive Affirmation for Surrender

Friday, November 30th, 2007

Today is an opportunity for surrender.

Greetings! Our theme is Surrender at DailyAffirm, http://www.DailyAffirm.com. These last days of the month we work with integrating and embodying surrender. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
Each day is an opportunity. Today, in particular, DailyAffirm acknowledges as an opportunity for surrender to express itself. Give up. Give UP. Give upward to allow all that is unnecessary and unwanted to drop from your attention. As you lift your consciousness upward, the lower vibrations become less and less attractive. You no longer become curious about those ideas that are dark or devious or out of alignment with integrity. Trust the divine to lift you up the rest of the way as you, in your human condition, claim and integrate the desire to be lifted.

About Your Process
Take a moment to reflect on your month of affirmations and thoughts related to surrender. As restrictions and limitations released from you, you may have felt uncomfortable. If you still feel uncomfortable, let those feelings guide you to create positive visions for your next opportunities. Remind yourself of your over-arching intention — notice if your statement changed or if you changed your understanding of its words. Assimilate what you wish to retain. Surrender to appreciation and joy.

About the New Theme
This is the last of the Integrating/Embodying Affirmations, and the final affirmation for Surrender. Tomorrow, DailyAffirm begins a new theme, Mastery, in a new month. I encourage you to develop an over-arching intention for mastery so that you can benefit more deeply from the affirmations. During the first week, we work with (Releasing/Cleansing) Affirmations.

Make this an enlightened day!

November 29, Positive Affirmation for Surrender

Thursday, November 29th, 2007

As I experience new situations,
I willingly incorporate surrender into my life.

Greetings! Our theme is Surrender at DailyAffirm, http://www.DailyAffirm.com. These last days of the month we work with integrating and embodying surrender. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
Sometimes you learn a skill or a new behavior in one particular part of your life, and then you totally forget this skill or behavior in another part. Today’s affirmation assists you in embodying surrender as you proceed. Memory can be a great asset for the concept expressed here: that is, remember your competence in surrendering to higher consciousness in a situation in which you feel or felt successful, then transfer that memory and its vibration to another experience. You can walk confidently through many new experiences in this way.

About Your Process
Consider for a moment if you have any area in your life in which you struggle to surrender. After you have identified your own personal growth opportunity, gently put that off to the side. Now, remember a time or place or situation in which you felt totally in-the-flow, able-to-surrender, deeply-empowered-and-powerful, a-wonderment-of-peace, and/or so-anchored-in-Spirit-that-resistance-had-no-power. Feel the energy of this memory. Catch the essence. Breathe in the power. Now, return to the earlier-identified situation and breathe new life into it. Relax. Again, breathe new life into the situation. Again, relax and let go. And now, one more time, breathe new life into the identified area. Now, let go. Trust the Universe to use this energy in a way that serves the highest good of all.

November 28, Positive Affirmation for Surrender

Wednesday, November 28th, 2007

I act with purposeful awareness of surrender
to my divine will.

Greetings! Our theme is Surrender at DailyAffirm, http://www.DailyAffirm.com. This fourth week of the month we work with acting and claiming surrender. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
This is the perfect concept with which to end the acting/claiming affirmations. To act with purposeful awareness is a powerful way to act in the world. So, too, is surrendering to your divine will. When you are able to blend both purposeful awareness and divine will, you are transformed. The simple, everyday acts of life offer opportunities for purposeful awareness that are just as powerful as the most profound and dramatic acts. The divine is everywhere. Show up and allow the divine to express itself through your acts and your consciousness.

About Your Process
Consider what it really means to you to act with purposeful awareness in a specific action you will take today. This may be an act you perform regularly or something you have been waiting to do in the moment you find your courage. Act. After acting, consider if you are ready to integrate surrender into your whole life. The next two days support you in this integration. Take a few moments today to reflect on the realizations you have had about acting with surrender in your consciousness. Perhaps acting has felt stressful for you; or perhaps it felt a relief to take action on something you have resisted in the past. Surrender to the experience and to the reflection of the experience. Appreciate yourself in your process. To appreciate is a joyous act.

November 27, Positive Affirmation for Surrender

Tuesday, November 27th, 2007

I let every act be an act of surrender.

Greetings! Our theme is Surrender at DailyAffirm, http://www.DailyAffirm.com. This fourth week of the month we work with acting and claiming surrender. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
This is somewhat similar to other affirmations this month: associate surrender with another dynamic — today, with actions. Let breathing be an act of surrender. Or, let some other motion be an act of surrender. Let stillness be an act of surrender. When you turn left, claim this choice as an act of surrender; when you turn right, claim this choice as an act of surrender. Let each act open up a space for surrender to exist. More than the act itself, honor the consciousness from which you choose the act.

About Your Process
This DailyAffirm Process does not advocate repeating lofty words — as you know, I even suggest that you change the words if others serve you better. This process does, however, value well-chosen words, intending that those words reflect the concepts that you are embodying or are desiring to embody. Your consciousness provides a space for transformation as you make each choice. Your feelings and emotions guide you in your transformation.

November 26, Positive Affirmation for Surrender

Monday, November 26th, 2007

I draw a circle of surrender to establish
my space of enlightenment.

Greetings! Our theme is Surrender at DailyAffirm, http://www.DailyAffirm.com. This fourth week of the month we work with acting and claiming surrender. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
When you’re encircled by the energy of your higher self (to which your human ego has surrendered), you live in enlightenment, where there is no place for ignorance, war, untruth, doubt, etc. Such dynamics cannot exist when you’re truly living in the consciousness of the divine. All the glorifying of war does not make war divine. Guns at the borders/boundaries of countries do not promote peace. You cannot shoot your way into harmony. You can, however, let these circumstances prompt you to clarify or re-confirm your desires for peace and harmony. The greatest protection is love. Use the energy that allows you to surrender to your higher power, to encircle you with Truth and Peace and Enlightenment.

About Your Process
As you work with today’s affirmation, you may have a particular person or place in your mind (including, of course, yourself!). Visualizing a circle in your mind’s eye or drawing a circle on paper can energize it still further. Select a person or persons or place or places to encircle with love, then surrender to a higher power and truth. If you can take a few minutes out of your busy day, imagine your circle becomes a sphere of light surrounding the person or place that has your attention. Breathe light into the sphere. Remind yourself of that ball of light throughout the day, a place to land your loving attention.

November 25, Positive Affirmation for Surrender

Sunday, November 25th, 2007

I manifest all things in association with surrender to
my higher/inner power.

Greetings! Our theme is Surrender at DailyAffirm, http://www.DailyAffirm.com. This fourth week of the month we work with acting and claiming surrender. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
Today’s affirmation reminds you that manifestation is associated with surrender to a higher/inner power. So many popular affirmations and other personal growth techniques are focused on manifesting material possessions. And, indeed the DailyAffirm affirmations can be used or re-written to reflect the consciousness of manifesting materially. However, with a proper relationship with the divine, all other aspects of life fall into their rightful place: the money that purchases material possessions, the pencil / keyboard / words that are the vehicle for creativity through language, the automobile that is the vehicle in your driveway, the piece of paper that spits from your printer. Everything.

About Your Process
So, today, what do you desire to manifest? A new job? A deeper understanding of self? A new spouse? Release from an old spouse? A more enriching relationship with your significant other? A car? A book with your name as author? A friendly neighborhood? As you identify one or more areas in which you wish to manifest or create something, be aware of your alignment with the divine: Spirit, God, Goddess, The One, Higher Power, Yahweh, Angels, Archangels, Higher Self, spirit guides, Inner Self, Higher Self, and any other name (or no name) or concept for higher consciousness that is acceptable to you. Let that divine connection guide the ways and means of manifestation. Let yourself be lifted out of the gimme (that’s short for “give me”) or victim consciousness into the realization of creating true desires with the energy of Spirit.

November 24, Positive Affirmation for Surrender

Saturday, November 24th, 2007

I claim surrender as a pathway to freedom.
I claim my power.

Greetings! Our theme is Surrender at DailyAffirm, http://www.DailyAffirm.com. This fourth week of the month we work with acting and claiming surrender. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
Today, affirm that surrender opens a pathway to freedom. This is especially helpful if you have resisted or limited the power of true surrender in the past. In your mind’s eye, create a powerful picture of the “pathway to freedom.” Use the energy of your emotions for the paint; use words and thoughts as your paintbrush; use everyday situations as the canvas. Become the artist-creator of your own life, able to change the effect in a conscious stroke of the brush.

About Your Process
Today’s affirmation is a good one to feel and see. Feel it in your body. Feel it in your emotions. Feel it in the air. Feel it in your feet. Feel it in your thoughts. Feel it in your hands. Feel it. See it through the inner picture you’re creating. See it with your eyes. See it in your understanding. See it in your life. See it on your path. See it in what you cannot see with your physical eyes. See it.

November 23, Positive Affirmation for Surrender

Friday, November 23rd, 2007

I act with surrender in my heart.
I speak with surrender on my lips.
I walk with surrender in my feet.

Greetings! Our theme is Surrender at DailyAffirm, http://www.DailyAffirm.com. This fourth week of the month we work with acting and claiming surrender. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
This affirmation assists you in experiencing surrender in your physical body through your regular activities. Feel it, touch it, hear it, taste it, smell it, walk with it, say it, sing it, hum it, see it, dance it, eat it! The more you relate to surrender as an ordinary phenomenon, the more likely you can call upon this power in extraordinary situations. Great dancers and singers surrender to the music. Great marathon runners surrender to the terrain. Great writers surrender to the flow of words. Great teachers surrender to the true needs of their students. Surrender means no resistance.

About Your Process
Consider all the thoughts and feelings and senses this affirmation brings up in you. What are the feelings in your heart as you act with surrender? What is the consciousness into which you dip that lets you speak with surrender? What propels you into acting with surrender? Notice the dynamics that appear and consider those that seem the most relevant: hesitancy or doubt or expectancy or joy or fear or pain or pleasure or other dynamics. You may find yourself more easily speaking or walking through fear just because you find surrender more and more familiar.

November 22, Positive Affirmation for Surrender

Thursday, November 22nd, 2007

Surrender energizes my actions.

Greetings! Our theme is Surrender at DailyAffirm, http://www.DailyAffirm.com. This fourth week of the month we work with acting and claiming surrender. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
This affirmation may seem to be a paradox, because “surrender” is often considered an inner or upward dynamic and “actions” an outer dynamic. However, when you surrender to a higher part of yourself, you are, by definition, not in resistance and therefore able to move as the situation requires. At those times, you are energized, inspired, in the flow. Rather than operating from ego, you use the energy/synergy of the situation and the components of the situation (e.g., people, ideas, places, emotions). Laughter, dance, play, and work become easier and more fun; laughter, dance, play, and work energize you rather than draining you.

About Your Process
Today you might consider sketching or drawing what this affirmation means to you. The drawing might take place in your mind’s eye or on a piece or paper with crayons or a pencil. Words or phrases may come into your awareness as you draw, although I caution you about making this an intellectual experience by trying to find the right words to express the ideas. You may find that by drawing with your non-dominant hand you free yourself from the ordinary constraints about drawing in a “socially acceptable” way. Express in images what it means to be energized by surrender.

Positive Affirmations for the Week of November 22-31, Surrender

Thursday, November 22nd, 2007

Greetings! This message serves as an overview for the acting and claiming affirmations of this fourth week and the integrating and embodying of the last three days of the month at DailyAffirm, http://www.DailyAffirm.com. Read the information on the sidebars for additional information. The messages will be here for you Day by Day. Check in as often as you want; participate in the ways that are appropriate for you.

About Acting/Claiming Affirmations and Surrender
The act of surrender is an inner/upward action, rather than an outward action. This surrender is not surrender to another person or to an idea outside yourself or to a technique or a program, but rather to a higher part of yourself. Other persons and ideas and techniques can be extremely meaningful. However, you’re not supposed to give your power away to them, but open yourself to be inspired. You must do your own spiritual journey individually, and yet you do not (can not!) do it alone. Humanity is in this together. As old beliefs crumble away, cheer. As unnecessary baggage from the past is de-emphasized, notice the benefit. Surrender to Spirit.

About your Process in the Fourth Week
What can you do this week to honor your own, individualized journey of enlightenment? This journey is a process, not a destination. How do you journey? How do you feel enriched by your journey? For this exercise, I strongly encourage you to have no more than minimal or respectful curiosity about how anyone else in the world does it. Just stay focused on you. How do you speak your truth about who you are? How do you surrender to your higher power? It’s time for you to acknowledge and claim your power.

About the Affirmations in the Fourth Week
If I were to select the definitive affirmation for the week to represent being and intending for surrender it would be the affirmation for November 28: “I act with purposeful awareness of surrender to the divine will.” It states succinctly two essential concepts: acting with purposeful awareness; acknowledging that the surrender to claim is the surrender to your divine will.

About Integrating/Embodying Affirmations and Surrender
And so, stop and rest. Take a breath. Acknowledge that you don’t need further information or ideas. Review and reflect on what you’ve learned and done. Open more deeply for integration. If more resistance comes to the surface, bless it, knowing you are continuing to release anything that gets in the way of your fulfillment. Trust. Ah, yes, surrender.

About Your Process in the Remaining Days
You may find that you wish to draw a picture to represent your journey for this month. Or perhaps a sculpture. Or a poem. Or a prayer. Your representation is just for you (unless, of course you choose to share it with someone else). Do whatever you need to do to come to peace with surrender, to have a sense of closure. Open to letting yourself be an opportunity for the manifestation of surrender to higher consciousness.

Make this a supportive week-plus!
