February 29, Positive Affirmation for Love

Friday, February 29th, 2008

Today is an opportunity for love.
Every day is an opportunity for love.

Greetings! Our theme is Love. This last days of the month we work with integrating and embodying hope. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and other resources.

About This Affirmation
First of all, this is an unusual day — it has not been on the calendar for eight years. I had an uncle who attributed his long life to being born on this day. I remember his excitement at his 21st birthday party with his great grandchildren! Today, open yourself so wide that love can express itself through you. Love desires to be expressed, and who better than through you? Look around each corner to find the opportunity for love. Sip love with your morning coffee, tea, or warm lemon water. Read love into your reports and daily tasks.

About Your Process
These are the last love affirmations, but not the last day for love. You may want to flash back to the over-arching intention you set at the beginning of the month or when you began this process. Ask yourself if you are clearer about what love means to you. Feel love flow through your veins. Let it integrate into each breath you breathe. Experience love shower you with its healing vibration.

About Our Next Theme
Tomorrow is a new month, with a new theme. The theme is balance. Before you receive the first affirmation, I suggest that you take a few moments to determine an over-arching intention about balance. Consider also what balance means to you.

Make this an affirming day!

February 28, Positive Affirmation for Love

Thursday, February 28th, 2008

I act with purposeful awareness of love.

Greetings! Our theme is Love. This fourth week of the month we work with acting and claiming love. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
The purpose of awareness is to know. In today’s statement, affirm that you know love through your actions and, further, that you act with love. Awareness is a gift you can have before an action (future), during it (present), and after it (past). Start where you are — where it is most familiar — and expand your awareness in the present as you act. The past and the future are available to you as a context for the present. However, love is an energy that exists only in the present. It is the Presence.

About Your Process
As you read this message, consider some specific actions you will take today or tomorrow and the extent to which you desire to be aware of the love in the actions. After the actions, reflect on your level of awareness during the action. This allows you to set an intention and review the manifestations of your intention. As you continue with this approach, you become more and more aware of love and other dynamics during your actions, no longer needing to wait until later to review the impact. You know in the now.

February 27, Positive Affirmation for Love

Wednesday, February 27th, 2008

I let every act be an act of unconditional love.

Greetings! Our theme is Love. This fourth week of the month we work with acting and claiming love. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
Every act requires energy. Every act is energy. Every act has an energy field. Sometimes you might think that you can cover up your feelings by making an act “look” good. But if an act comes from the consciousness of unconditional love, it will look however it looks and still carry the energy of unconditional love. Bungling through a conversation while radiating unconditional love usually yields understanding. Expressing eloquence while being unloving usually yields misunderstanding or other distortion. Words and actions represent (re-present) the energy of the deeper consciousness.

About Your Process
The Internet is an ideal place to practice this idea of acting from a consciousness of unconditional love. Before opening a message from someone, ask yourself if it feels as though the message is resonating with unconditional love. As you read the message, ask yourself this question again. Observe, with a nonjudgmental eye. Discernment without judgment or disdain is a gift to assist you in lifting consciousness. Here is another way to practice, focusing on yourself: Breathe in unconditional love prior to writing a message. Just sit quietly at your computer with still fingers, breathing love in and out. Then write. Dip in again to the pool of unconditional love before pushing the “send” button. Love yourself for doing this.

February 26, Positive Affirmation for Love

Tuesday, February 26th, 2008

I draw a circle of love and encase myself in it.

Greetings! Our theme is Love. This fourth week of the month we work with acting and claiming love. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
The circle is both powerful and simple. Living in a circle of love is your greatest protection from anything that is not love-based. I often giggle at the ingenuity of people to construct barriers against things they do not want. All you really need is love. Love, love, love. Love is all you need. (Thanks to the Beatles for the lyrics.)

About Your Process
Those of you who have worked with me in workshops or personal sessions perhaps know about the Circle of Abundance, which is energized by the Infinite Source. As the circle is established inside you, it replicates itself and encases you in a sphere. This sphere is magnetized to attract abundance into your life, moving you into a natural cycle of giving and receiving. This same image is a valuable one for the circle of love described in today’s affirmation. Let the circle multiply and attract more love, which you can give freely since it is constantly replaced from the Infinite Source.

February 25, Positive Affirmation for Love

Monday, February 25th, 2008

I manifest from and with unconditional love of myself and others.

Greetings! Our theme is Love. This fourth week of the month we work with acting and claiming love. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
As I have mentioned in past daily messages, “unconditional love” is the term that, for me, best describes what I mean by this month’s theme of “love.” The term, of course, means to love without limitations, without expectations, without conditions. While the words of this definition for “unconditional love” are expressed as double negatives, they leave us with an overall understanding of a positive dynamic. When you manifest (or create or act) from a consciousness of unconditional love, you are powerful beyond words. In that consciousness, you do not need to resort to negating negatives to explain; you ARE love with every aspect of your being, speaking wordless love. Love yourself and you love others; lift up yourself and others in this loving energy.

About Your Process
What is your unique process for manifesting from and with unconditional love? Do you sense that unconditional love is a partner? a driver? a follower? a powerful force? a gentle companion? When you are acting or claiming love, what are you specifically aware of from inside yourself? Are you aware of any barriers to manifesting unconditional love? If your answer is yes to the last question, what actions must you take to dissolve or manage or work with those barriers? And if your answer is no to that previous question, you may wish to explore if there are barriers that are hidden from your awareness. With your intention, transcend the barriers and claim love.

February 24, Positive Affirmation for Love

Sunday, February 24th, 2008

I claim love. I claim my power throughout life.

Greetings! Our theme is Love. This fourth week of the month we work with acting and claiming love. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
To claim love and power means to embrace it, not capture it or grab it. Love and power need space to grow and prosper. As you live in the expectancy of love, you feel its power so that your world is enriched. Perhaps you are making powerful claims these days: to live in the consciousness of love, to embody your own power, to embrace your life mission, to live life to its fullest. It is time to claim love.

About Your Process
The ideas of the acting/claiming phase of the DailyAffirm process are beautifully presented below, quoting from Marianne Williamson’s “A Return to Love,” pages 190-91 of the 1992 edition. (This is often attributed to Nelson Mandela who quoted this piece in his 1994 Inaugural Speech.)

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves,
“Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?”
Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God.
Your playing small doesn’t serve the world.
There’s nothing enlightening about shrinking so that
Other people won’t feel insecure around you.
We were born to manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone.
And as we let our light shine, we unconsciously
Give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear,
Our presence automatically liberates others.

February 23, Positive Affirmation for Love

Saturday, February 23rd, 2008

I act with love in my heart.
I speak with love on my lips. I walk with love in my feet.

Greetings! Our theme is Love. This fourth week of the month we work with acting and claiming love. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
This affirmation goes hand in hand — or maybe that is foot to foot — with yesterday’s affirmation. As you walk and talk and feel, recognize that love is with you. If you are filled with love, everything you say is filled with love (it has to be!). If you are constantly dipping into the feelings and ideas and energy of love, then all your actions are loving. Some readers may react to this defensively with a thought such as “Sometimes I forget to be loving, I’m only human.” Un huh, yes, you are human. Job One of being human is …. to love. And when you forget to be loving, no problem. That provides an opportunity to remember love.

About Your Process
Are you experiencing a quickening of energy right now? If not yet, just wait a few days or minutes, maybe weeks. By “quickening” I mean a high quality vibration, not the frenetic energy associated with physical movement or hyperactivity or a caffeine rush. It is a quickening in consciousness. Lightening. A lightening up. Enlightenment. A blending of love and light. Feel the love, taste the love, move with the love.

February 22, Positive Affirmation for Love

Friday, February 22nd, 2008

Love energizes my actions.

Greetings! Our theme is Love. This fourth week of the month we work with acting and claiming love. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
Imagine what your life would be like if every action were fueled by love. How delightful it would be to start your car with love in the gas tank and love as the key, to answer the phone with the hello of love, to begin your day with a loving stretch, to open your meetings with love as the intention, to greet friends and strangers with a loving hug. Love is the most powerful energy that exists. And to quote John Lennon and Paul McCartney, “All you need is love, love. Love is all you need. Love, love, love. Love, love, love. Love, love, love.”

About Your Process
Action, action, action…. So much of society equates success with action and activity. I have often observed people engrossed in a flurry of activity without being successful or satisfied. Have you observed the same? Do you do this yourself? Organizations are designed for taking actions through their employees, as well as their products and services. From a higher perspective, though, actions are not nearly as important as the consciousness which accompanies the actions. What powers your actions? If it is the consciousness of love that energizes your actions, you are living a purposeful life. Unconditional love is a power that transcends physical manifestations.

Positive Affirmations for the Week of February 22-29, Love

Friday, February 22nd, 2008

Greetings! This message serves as an overview for the acting and claiming affirmations of this fourth week and the integrating and embodying affirmation for leap year day. The sidebars provide you with additional information. Read the messages Day by Day or, simply check in when the spirit moves you. If you prefer to receive the daily messages by email, please subscribe to one of our email alert lists (see navigation bar).

About Acting/Claiming Affirmations and Love
The affirmations focus on acting in partnership with love this week. Include love in the planning and expectancy of your actions (future), in the experience of your actions (present), and in the reflection of our completed actions (past). Every time you speak, make a claim about who you are or what you think or feel. This week, become more aware than ever that these claims are made in association with love. Each word is an action; each thought is creative and therefore can be considered an action. Move through the week fueled by the energy of love.

About your Process in the Fourth Week
How are you going to claim love or self-love this week? What is the most important action you can take to demonstrate to yourself that you love yourself or you love someone or something else? How can you show that you love your computer? your car? the clerk in the supermarket? the parking lot attendant? Your action may be as simple as a smile, as gentle as a kind look, or as engaging as a playful statement. Consider for a moment, how the whole world would be transformed if you and everyone else in the world smiled a genuine smile of unconditional love at everyone else. Wow! What a picture.

About the Affirmations in the Fourth Week
If I were to select the definitive affirmation for the week to represent being and intending for love, it would be the affirmation for February 26: “I draw a circle of love and encase myself in it.” I find the image of a “circle of love” very powerful.

About the Integrating/Embodying Affirmation and Love
It has been eight years since the Integrating/Embodying Affirmation for love has had its own separate day. Love is a powerful energy to integrate. Happy Leap Year Day.

About your Process with this Integrating/Embodying Affirmation
How are you going to integrate love into your life? You may decide to do it by reflecting on the month’s processes and ideas. Or, you may decide to mediate on love without any content. Or, you may notice how you have changed this month. Or, you may notice that other things in your life have changed. Has your concept of love expanded?

Make this a lovely week!

February 21, Positive Affirmation for Love

Thursday, February 21st, 2008

Love enhances all my thoughts and feelings.
Unconditional love is a partner in my life.

Greetings! Our theme is Love. This third week of the month we work with our being and intention for love. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
Love woven into all your thoughts and feelings enhances your life. At a time when so many folks are looking to find (or trying to separate from) a life partner, it is comforting to know that the purity of unconditional love itself is always available to everyone as a partner. The beauty of having unconditional love as a partner is that it enhances relationships with everything and everyone. This love is never jealous or clinging or dependent or dominant or snarly in the morning. Unconditional love is the power of One.

About Your Process
Today, consider if there is anything else you desire to feel or breathe or know about love. Know with your heart; know with your eyes; know with your head; know with your toes; know to the depth of your being. Let “knowing” be more than an intellectual experience. Is there anything else you desire to know about love? How can you use the energy of love to enhance your life?
