March 31, Positive Affirmation for Balance

Monday, March 31st, 2008

Today is an opportunity for balance.

Greetings! Our theme is Balance. These last days of the month we work with integrating and embodying balance. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
Today is all you have. The past and future are helpful reference points, but you can only live today. It is an opportunity. It is an opportunity for balance. It is also an opportunity for anything else you wish to learn or achieve or experience. A wonderful variation on this affirmation is "Today is an opportunity." Another variation is to replace the word "balance" with another word or phrase, for example, a synonym (e.g., evenness, harmony, effortlessness) or a place for balance to show up (e.g., in my job, in my life, in the world).

About Your Process
I encourage you today (the last day of the month) to play with this idea of balance. As you walk, you may notice how your weight shifts and balances itself on the right and then the left. As you talk, listen to the cadence of your voice. Notice the evenness of thoughts as they flow through your mind. Let every thing be an opportunity for balance. Embody balance.

About the Next Type of Affirmations and New Theme
This is the last of the Integrating/Embodying Affirmations, and the final affirmations for Balance. Tomorrow, we begin a new month and a new theme. The theme is Clarity. I encourage you to develop an over-arching intention for Clarity so that you can benefit more deeply from the affirmations. During the first week, we work with (Releasing/Cleansing) Affirmations.

Make this a balanced day!

March 30, Positive Affirmation for Balance

Sunday, March 30th, 2008

I integrate balance into every aspect of my life.

Greetings! Our theme is Balance. These last days of the month we work with integrating and embodying balance. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
As you read or affirm today’s statement, you may become aware of the aspect(s) of your life in which you feel or sense you have not integrated balance. Let this awareness be good news — the good news of feedback. Feedback tells you where you need to work, where to give your attention. Feedback is not a sign of failure but a gift of information for an opportunity for growth. If you experience balance in one aspect of your life, you can expand it into other aspects. Balance is balance is balance. Only you know what balance is for you. Touch its vibration where you can, so that you can open to it in other parts and places.

About Your Process
During these integrating/embodying days, you may notice some aspects of balance or non-balance that require future or ongoing attention. Soon DailyAffirm moves to another theme for the affirmations, but your balance (or non-balance!) remains with you. If you have a practice of journaling important events and transitions, you may wish to journal about your passage. Perhaps your passage is from unawareness of balance to awareness of what in your life needs to be balanced. Perhaps your passage is from conscious awareness of balance to effortless integration of balance. Celebrate the transition and name it, as appropriate for you.

About the Book of the Month Recommendation
One of the quickest and best ways to know if something is
balanced or not is to notice the energy field. When you are
good at this, the knowledge of balance is instantaneous and
highly accurate. Here is a book that helps you to learn
about energy, energy healing, and energy fields. It is
called "Energy Medicine" by Donna Eden. Please read my
book comments

March 29, Positive Affirmation for Balance

Saturday, March 29th, 2008

Yes to Balance!

Greetings! Our theme is Balance. These last days of the month we work with integrating and embodying balance. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
One of the simplest affirmations in the language is "yes." "No" is also an affirmation, but it is a little trickier because the meaning of the word says "no" while the focus of attention to the not-wanted thing says "yes." The more clear you are about what you desire in your life, the more clear you are about what you do not desire in your life. The more clear you are about what you do not desire in your life, the more clear you are about what you desire in your life. I want to be counted today as one who votes yes! to balance.

About Your Process
Are you with me? Do you also want to say yes! to balance? You have been working toward the integration and embodiment of balance all month. Today and for two more days you are supported by Integrating/Embodying Affirmations specifically designed to give you an opportunity to take the theme deeper into your consciousness. I know from my personal consulting work and workshops how very important it is to allow people to integrate what they have learned. There are many techniques: journaling, meditation, silence, review, reflection, doing something completely different. So, select an integrating technique such as these or others you prefer to work with today and the next few days.

March 28, Positive Affirmation for Balance

Friday, March 28th, 2008

I act with purposeful awareness of equanimity and balance.

Greetings! Our theme is Balance. This fourth week of the month we work with acting and claiming balance. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
Equanimity is a strong word that means calmness and evenness. I also think of it as being devoid of judgment — to walk evenly and equally on all the steps of life’s experiences. To be as peaceful in the face of disaster as in the face of ease is equanimity. To be as confident when the circumstances are tough as when they are simple is equanimity. To be as calm with those with whom you disagree philosophically as with those with whom you agree is equanimity. Life is filled with bumps and joys and turns and miracles and hiccups and surprises. Purposeful awareness guides you to appreciating it all.

About Your Process
I recall a conversation with several people who seemed to enjoy judging others. The conversation turned to the film “The Bird Cage” which gave them an opportunity to show their judgments. Two people at the table agreed adamantly that this is a bad film (oh, they had not seen it, by the way — I was the only one who had). I listened to them talk about how their way is the best way. The subject changed to something else soon after I said gently, “If you go to this film with love in your heart, you are likely to watch with compassion, even joy.” What challenge do you face today that demonstrates to yourself that you can be loving and balanced?

About the Next Type of Affirmations
Tomorrow the Integrating/Embodying affirmations begin. Today is a good day to check for a final action you might want to take to demonstrate balance in one or more aspects of your life. Of course, you might want to make a commitment to yourself to claim and demonstrate balance each day. A re-visit of your over-arching intention for balance also allows you to integrate more fully all that you have learned this month.

Make this an even day!

March 27, Positive Affirmation for Balance

Thursday, March 27th, 2008

I let every act be an act of balance. I act from deep integrity.

Greetings! Our theme is Balance. This fourth week of the month we work with acting and claiming balance. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
Sometimes you may have your attention focused so much on juggling all the little things (or thingies, as I called them the other day), that you forget to pay attention to balancing the large picture. Sometimes you may have your attention on the large picture and forget that you can learn balance from the mundane or everyday tasks. Every act, every situation, every word has contained in it the opportunity to learn about any topic you set an intention to learn. When integrity powers your actions — little acts and big acts — you experience balance.

About Your Process
Look away from your computer right now to focus your eyes on something else in the room. Yes, I know, you have to look back here to read the next sentence. Whatever you rested your eyes upon (printer? pen? clutter? carpet? lamp? calendar?) is in relationship to other things. Notice, and describe the balance or inbalance. Throughout the day, notice how your relationships with other persons and things can teach you balance.

March 26, Positive Affirmation for Balance

Wednesday, March 26th, 2008

I draw a circle of balance to establish my world.

Greetings! Our theme is Balance. This fourth week of the month we work with acting and claiming balance. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
The circle has no beginning and no end — the same as infinity. While the circle can define space, it need not confine space. While you are learning about life and making choices, you must distinguish between those ideas and things that you desire in your life and those ideas and things you do not desire in your life. It is important that you not confuse a personal boundary with personal limitations. Personal boundaries differentiate you from others; limitations prevent you. As your consciousness lifts high enough, you reduce the need for boundaries. Until then, encircle yourself with the energy of balance.

About Your Process
As you draw your circle of balance to establish your world, you may want to name the qualities and dynamics that you wish to experience in your space, in your world. Use your circle to absorb anything that gets in the way of balance as you have defined it. After you have drawn your circle, you may choose to color it or enliven it with a memory that represents balance. Enrich your circle with a vision of the balanced life you are manifesting.

March 25, Positive Affirmation for Balance

Tuesday, March 25th, 2008

I manifest all things in association with balance.

Greetings! Our theme is Balance. This fourth week of the month we work with acting and claiming balance. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
When you set an intention to live in balance, your manifestations are more balanced. By “manifestations” I mean the signs and proof of your creations: your actions, your experiences, your relationships, your fulfilled dreams, your achieved goals. Sometimes you see immediate results of your balanced intention moving into manifestation; sometimes you see results at a much later time. Thoughts do manifest, so choose thoughts that create what you truly desire! A conversation I had with an artist is apropos of today’s affirmation. His medium is wood; his specialty, furniture. When he has to choose between art and functionality, he chooses art. While each piece is made of the same “stuff,” each item is distinct and carries his consciousness to the showroom or the client. He is clear that his artwork is manifested with balance and alignment with a higher power and purpose. While not all your manifestations may be as easy to trace as an artist’s, the process itself is the same.

About Your Process
What do you most want to manifest in your life? Are you manifesting that right now? If the answer is “no,” I suggest that you not ask “why?” or “why not?” but rather ask “how?” Here is the simple formula: think the thoughts that create the manifestations you desire. For example, if you want a new and satisfying job, being grumpy about the current job is not the way to manifest that new and satisfying job. Instead, fill your thoughts with the joy of working and doing what you love to do. Think empowering thoughts about yourself, about your current job, and about your new and satisfying job. Remember that the time between a thought and its manifestation is lessened as you raise your consciousness. Stay focused on what you desire to manifest, stay balanced, and trust the process. Be the balance you seek.

March 24, Positive Affirmation for Balance

Monday, March 24th, 2008

I claim my balance. I claim my power.

Greetings! Our theme is Balance. This fourth week of the month we work with acting and claiming balance. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
I know from clients, readers of DailyAffirm, visitors to my other web sites, and telephone callers that this is a powerful time for many people. I also know that many persons are struggling with balance. Here’s my suggestion: stop struggling!!! Struggle keeps you in a state of imbalance. Struggle creates resistance; resistance creates more struggle. It is time to trust the simplicity of the concept that you can claim balance. Do that now, today.

About Your Process
An article that may be very useful to you if you are resisting against or struggling about balance is “Freedom from Bondage.” It is a true story (though quite abbreviated) about energy work I did with a client many years ago. It is an example of one approach to the energy work I do to help clients free themselves from the shackles of limitation. Consider…… is there anything that prevents you from being fully in your power? Whether the barrier is inside you or outside you, dissolve or leap over it into your power. Claim your balance and your power now, unless you choose to let the barrier prevent you from living a balanced and full life.

March 23, Positive Affirmation for Balance

Sunday, March 23rd, 2008

I act with balance in my heart.
I speak with balance on my lips. I walk with balance in my feet.

Greetings! Our theme is Balance. This fourth week of the month we work with acting and claiming balance. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
Several primary ways and methods for acting and/or claiming balance are represented in today’s affirmation. The heart represents your feelings; the lips represent your expression; the feet represent physical movement. Here is a personal flashback to many years ago when I had a job (now I don’t have a job, I have a business). One of my co-workers, a physically strong man, was asked to put shelving together in our new offices — we were trainers and consultants, we did everything! Boldly, he put together the shelving — you know the kind, institutional dark gray metal with four little plastic thingies to position each shelf. He had moved from the bottom to the top, carefully putting each shelf in place measured by the one below, when I caught a glimpse of his efforts: the left end of the shelf was higher than the right by one peg length. He had worked hard, yet his results were out of balance. We had a good laugh.

About Your Process
Perhaps you need to laugh about something in your life that is out of balance. If you act with imbalance or instability, what happens? If you speak when you are out of sorts, what happens? If you walk when you are shaken or dizzy, what happens? If you do not like the answers to these questions, then balance yourself. Act with clarity. Speak with evenness. Walk with effortlessness. You do not need to wait for anything. Do it now. And in the meantime, laugh at the out-of-balance aspects in your life and, if needed, move a few thingies.

March 22, Positive Affirmation for Balance

Saturday, March 22nd, 2008

Balance energizes my actions.

Greetings! Our theme is Balance. This fourth week of the month we work with acting and claiming balance. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
This concise statement starts the Acting/Claiming affirmations. Step into your power with this simple, general idea. Each day you can step more powerfully into balance as you think about or say words that invite still more balance into your life, which further energizes your actions. Balance is a powerful fuel that you can use in all your activities and projects.

About Your Process
Today, let balance — however you are defining it — energize all that you do. If you have any hesitancy or doubt, take time to align yourself with your power before stepping forward. Without this alignment, you may have a tendency to feel powerful, but in the wrong direction or in an inappropriate way. This is not empowerment, but mere movement or wasted energy. What is the most empowering action you can take today?
