May 13, Positive Affirmation for Trust

Tuesday, May 13th, 2008

I accept trust, joy, and love in all aspects of my life.

Greetings! Our theme is Trust. This second week of the month we work with receiving and accepting trust at DailyAffirm. Here are comments about today’s affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
To experience something, you accept it into your life. You may tend to argue against this point when you are in the middle of uncomfortable circumstances or when you feel like a victim. When you are in pain, it is hard to understand that you have invited the painful conditions you are experiencing. And, of course, you have not done this intentionally. As you become more intentional about your thought patterns and responses, you might become impatient when your circumstances do not change as quickly as you grasp ideas for change, tending to blame the circumstances or conditions outside yourself. Self-kindness is required as you develop new habits that encourage receiving what you truly desire. A simple "yes" to trust and joy and love is a starting place; consistent "yeses" yield the manifested desires.

About Your Process
Today, remember to be kind to yourself and to life. As you work with today’s and other empowering affirmations and methods, you are moving away from old thoughts and patterns. The conditions you find yourself in today are manifestations of previous thoughts. It is true that your birthright is to experience joy, however, if you have not yet lifted your consciousness to focus on joy, just take that on as your work. Life is a process. You are not here to manipulate the Universe, but to experience life to the fullest. Today, appreciate all that surrounds you, for you have accepted these things into your life. If you are not pleased with what you have already manifested, start today to accept what you desire into your life by giving your thoughts to trust, joy, and love.

May 12, Positive Affirmation for Trust

Monday, May 12th, 2008

Trust, you are my friend.
I take you everywhere I go.

Greetings! Our theme is Trust. This second week of the month we work with receiving and accepting trust at DailyAffirm. Here are comments about today’s affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
Ordinarily when you think of a "friend," you are likely to think of a person. Today as you think about Trust as your friend, expand your definition of friendship. While you cannot take a human friend everywhere you go, you can take Trust everywhere you go. Trust is something you carry in your heart. Also, the Angel of Trust can be with you everywhere. Trust is not an elusive concept, but a real energy.

About Your Process
As you live today, remember Trust as a special friend in all you do and say. Remember Trust as you meditate, as you drive, as you walk, as you speak to a human friend, as you eat, as you dream, as you play. Talk to Trust, your friend. And listen. You may choose to ask some of the following questions: "Who are you?" and "How will I know you?" and "How can I recognize you when I am feeling lost (or lonely, despairing, confused, afraid, etc.)?" and "How will you let me know that you are with me when I forget?"

May 11, Positive Affirmation for Trust

Sunday, May 11th, 2008

Dear God,
allow me to see trust in a way that I can understand.

Greetings! Our theme is Trust. This second week of the month we work with receiving and accepting trust at DailyAffirm. Here are comments about today’s affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
The divine is always showing you trust in ways that you can understand — it is up to you to notice, to see, to perceive. This simple prayer asks for more than just "seeing" with the physical eye or "understanding" with the mental processes. It asks for the grace to know trust, to realize trust, to live trust, to experience trust. Seek the trust that transcends the concrete.

About Your Process
Sometimes you may be called upon to demonstrate your understanding and knowing of trust. In fact, such a demonstration may bring you to your knees in surrender. Demonstrating trust is one way to lift your consciousness. Your demonstrations are unique to you, and need not be like any one else’s. It is a rite of passage that you face — perhaps you are even experiencing this rite of passage right now. Knowing trust moves you to the other side of the initiation: trust yourself, trust your process, trust the divine. If you are regularly on your knees in gratitude, you are less likely to be forced to your knees in desperation.

May 10, Positive Affirmation for Trust

Saturday, May 10th, 2008

I allow trust to flow through me.
I accept the Truth from a higher Source.

Greetings! Our theme is Trust. This second week of the month we work with receiving and accepting trust at DailyAffirm. Here are comments about today’s affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
Today’s affirmation helps you to perceive trust as fluid, and able to flow through you. Trust can wash away old memories of distrust and mistrust and non-trust. Trust is aligned with Truth from a higher source; that is, trust is pure, not manipulative. This is a perfect affirmation to use just before participating in an event (a meeting with the boss, a sales presentation, connecting with an associate or friend, etc.), especially an event that seems challenging. Or you may choose a commonplace event, such as driving your car, which is a very important time to be aligned with the divine and with trust.

About Your Process
I talk with many folks who understand intellectually and speak articulately about the idea of "being in the flow" and "trusting the Universe" and "living in the moment." Understanding intellectually and speaking articulately are worthy starting places, especially if you find that language helps you to integrate your thoughts and be in touch with your feelings. The test comes when you are challenged by circumstances — if you try to manipulate those circumstances, you are not "in the flow." Start where it is easiest for you. If you experience deep satisfaction with one aspect of your work, feel what it is like to trust there. If a walk in the woods evokes ecstasy or freedom, experience being "in the flow" there. If you feel total trust when you are with your partner, let that feeling of trust expand from there outwardly to other parts of your life.

May 9, Positive Affirmation for Trust

Friday, May 9th, 2008

I receive trust from the Universe.
My trust in the invisible increases.

Greetings! Our theme is Trust. This second week of the month we work with receiving and accepting trust at DailyAffirm. Here are comments about today’s affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
Some folks say they only trust what they can see and/or touch. Even some folks who have deep trust in the invisible want to have certain things proven to them in the visible world. You might consider your own areas of trust in both the invisible and the visible. The process of creation is the act of moving energy from the invisible (Spirit) into the visible (matter). This is relatively easy to understand when you think of certain everyday acts of creation. I expect that sitting at a blank computer screen receptive to putting ideas into words is a familiar experience to you. As the characters click under your fingers, words appear on the screen because you have moved the invisible to the visible. All things manifested in this world are the result of changing the density of energy from Spirit into matter.

About Your Process
Consider those things in your life you trust that are visible, and those you trust that are invisible. Do you trust the recklessly driven car in front of you? — that is visible. Do you trust the love you share with close friends — that is invisible. Do you trust your own intuitions and inspirations? Do you trust yourself? Today, consider three events and/or persons in which you believe the quality of trust is particularly desired or needed.

May 8, Positive Affirmation for Trust

Thursday, May 8th, 2008

I open to allow trust to operate in my life.
I let self-trust lead to the path of trusting others.

Greetings! Our theme is Trust. This second week of the month we work with receiving and accepting trust at DailyAffirm. Here are comments about today’s affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
Trust, of course, is always operating, faithfully and fully. However, if you are not open to it, you can miss it or mistake it for something else. Take off the brakes and blinders. I believe the key issue of trust is self-trust: when you trust yourself, you know when to trust other persons and events and ideas. In fact, the energy of self-trust is a light that shows you the way along the path, pointing to appropriate places and people. Trust in the moment, because now is the only time that exists.

About Your Process
Now that you have cleared out a lot of non-trust stuff during the first week, you are more ready than ever to open to trust. Open to trust as you open the faucet in your sink or shower. Test the force and temperature. Let trust bathe you with its expansive energy. Take a few moments, right now, to see or imagine that you see the energy of trust. Soak in it. Feel it. Sense it. Hear it. Smell it. Love it. Receive it. Absorb it. Trust it. Be it.

Positive Affirmations for the Week of May 8-14, Trust

Thursday, May 8th, 2008

Greetings! In this message, I’ll give you an overview of the next seven days of the DailyAffirm Process. The sidebars provide you with additional information. Read the messages Day by Day, or simply check in when the spirit moves you. If you prefer to receive the daily messages by email, please subscribe to one of our email alert lists (check the options at the bottom of the navigation bar).

Remind yourself of your over-arching intention for Trust.

About Receiving/Accepting Affirmations and Trust
Trust is closely related to safety. If you feel safe, you are more likely to trust. If you feel safe and trusting, it is easier to open. Sometimes you may be required to step into a void and pretend that you are trusting when you do not really feel trusting. When you do this, the feeling of trust can more naturally follow because you have imagined and practiced the feeling.

About Your Process in the Second Week
How can you open to trust when you do not feel safe and/or trusting? Here is a worthy question for you to ponder from time to time through the week. Notice when you naturally feel safe and trusting. Notice your thoughts and beliefs; notice your feelings and sensations. Become aware. You may find it helpful to develop a vertical number scale — a Trust Thermometer — so that you can determine more easily how you feel and/or think. For example, you might assign "-10" at the bottom to the idea of "total distrust" and "+10" at the top to the idea of "total trust," with various levels of distrust and trust as gradations between. As you become more and more aware, you will find it easier to trust yourself to trust a situation or another person. If your inner prompting says "be still," be still. If your inner prompting says "act," act. Trust yourself.

About the Affirmations in the Second Week
If I were to select the definitive affirmation for the week to represent receiving and accepting for Trust it would be the affirmation for May 10: "I allow trust to flow through me. I accept the truth from a higher Source." The higher Source, of course, is right inside you; it flows through you; it is you.

Make this an ACCEPTional week!

May 7, Positive Affirmation for Trust

Wednesday, May 7th, 2008

I let Spirit (My Higher Self, God, My Spirit Guides,
The One, The Force, Infinite Source)
purify any remaining thoughts and feelings of distrusting.

Greetings! Our theme is Trust. This first week of the month we work with releasing and cleansing non-trust at DailyAffirm. Here are comments about today’s affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
Today, trust Spirit to handle any non-trust thoughts and/or feelings that you may have missed. Use your favorite name for Spirit — or all the names you can think of . . . just in case. Experience yourself being nurtured by the purity of Spirit. Trust Spirit. Trust the process as you bring to a close this week of releasing, cleansing, forgiving, purifying, clearing, liberating, neutralizing negativity, and letting go of resistance.

About Your Process
Today, you may want to meditate with what I call the "White Light of Purification." Perhaps you know about or already work with "White Light" which is really the same. However, I like to use the longer name because I emphasize a specific and unique quality: a pure energy that has the ability to purify anything unlike itself. The human ego can miss or mistake dynamics in the energy field; Spirit knows purity and light.

May 6, Positive Affirmation for Trust

Tuesday, May 6th, 2008

I turn away from thoughts that suggest there is no trust.

Greetings! Our theme is Trust. This first week of the month we work with releasing and cleansing non-trust at DailyAffirm. Here are comments about today’s affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
Let this affirmation help you to continue with the idea of releasing non-trust and the thoughts that created them to make space for the thoughts that foster trust. Negative and/or outmoded thoughts, beliefs, intentions, feelings, and emotions that are inside or outside you can be transmuted to allow trust to thrive. Think of non-trust as weeds in a garden. Find methods that are ecologically friendly to remove the weeds so that trust can survive and grow.

About Your Process
Let’s play further with the idea of weeds in a garden. Let’s say that you desire to plant flowers or vegetables. Pick a favorite. I choose carrots. If I plant radish seeds I will not get carrots. So I plant carrot seeds. I plant them in fertile soil where the sun will reach them. And I make sure they get plenty of water. I am an organic gardener, so I use compost from previous growth to fertilize the soil. When weeds sprout, I remove them (to the compost pile!) so that they do not strangle my seedlings. I do not use poison to eliminate the weeds because that will disturb the environment. I trust carrots to grow from the carrot seeds. I remain attentive to neutralizing the weeds of non-trust and to taking care of my carrot crop. If I get sloppy, my carrots may still grow, but they will not be as healthy.

As you become aware of specific beliefs that are limiting thoughts, you may wish to return to working with the affirmations of May 1 and May 2. You can adjust either or both affirmations to incorporate the limiting beliefs that you discover, if you choose. You will find that writing these affirmations according to the DailyAffirm process will be particularly effective.

May 5, Positive Affirmation for Trust

Monday, May 5th, 2008

I cut negative bonds of attachment to lack of confidence and lack of trust.
Ties to despair are dissolved.

Greetings! Our theme is Trust. This first week of the month we work with releasing and cleansing non-trust at DailyAffirm. Here are comments about today’s affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
The energy field contains a wealth of information about what happens in your life — past, present, and future. When you are negatively attached to something in the past (an old hurt, for example) or something in the future (a worry, for example), or something in the present (a disappointment, for example) such attachments can show up in the energy field as negative bonds or ties to help you to neutralize them. They may look like strings or wires; they may feel coarse or limiting; they may sound shrilled or biting. When you can see or imagine that you see negative attachments in the energy field, you gain a new perspective which often suggests valuable strategies for empowerment. Welcome humor and lightness in your process.

About Your Process
Get out those scissors and cut those bonds! No scissors? Take the knives out of your back and use those! It does not matter whose fingerprints are on the knife handles, remove them and use the sharpness to cut negative bonds of attachment to anyone or anything that gets in the way of your confidence, trust, faith, and joy. Negative strings can be cut with nail clippers. Negative wires can be burned with a blow torch or severed with wire cutters. Chain links can be pried apart. So, discover an image that represents a negative situation and neutralize its effect in the energy field so that you can experience the benefits in your life. If you have ever felt despair, you know the potency of this energy. Either ask the angels to transmute the toxicity or dissolve it with your intention. Just do it quickly and re-focus your attention on what you want to experience.
